Crochet Bodycon Dress/Top

August 24, 2017

Lately I've been trying to design a crochet dress/top where I never have to stop crocheting and join all the pieces together later (except when I need to join a new yarn ;p). So I came up with this simple and easy design and I have a lot of ideas using different kind of stitches using the same exact method to create this dress.

This dress is quite easy to make and simply adjustable to any sizes if you understand the steps. I suggest you to watch the video tutorial on my YouTube channel before you try making this dress, so you can get an idea on how exactly this dress was made. You can also try designing your own pattern using the same exact method.

I made a summary for the pattern below for all sizes so you can simply refer to it later without having to watch the video all over again once you understand how to do the increase/decrease and shoulder strap.

Have fun crocheting :)

~If you don’t understand any part of this pattern, please refer to the video tutorial~

    1. Hi, have you watch the video? It will help you to understand. The stitches for the waistline is the same for every row (12 hdc, 7 sc, 7 hdc).

You're going to start with the left armhole, make 1 row before you start to increase in the nxt 9 rows. Then ch 29 and make 5 rows for the 1st front strap. Cont. with the front neckline 9 rows of dec, 1 row without dec, 9 rows of inc. Ch 29, 5 rows for the 2nd front strap. Right armhole 9 rows of dec, 1 row without dec, 9 rows of inc.

Ch 29, 5 rows for the 1st back strap.
Cont. with the back neckline 3 rows of dec, 13 row without dec, 3 rows of inc. Ch 29, 5 rows for the 2nd back strap. Left armhole 9 rows of dec. Join with the first row.

      Hope that helps.
